The downtown El Cortez has 308 rooms including 30 suites, two restaurants: the Emerald Room coffee shop and Roberta's Cafe. The El Cortez has around 2,150 slot and video machines, 14 blackjack tables, 3 poker, 2 craps tables, 1 roulette, keno and a Sportsbook in its 25,000-square-foot casino. Being a small casino we found the staff fairly friendly. They offer a number of promotions to compete with the larger neighboring casinos.
