At Fitzgeralds Holiday Inn, the "Luck of the Irish" shines throughout the casino.
Opened as the Sundance Hotel and Casino June 28, 1980, the property changed hands and became Fitzgeralds on March 17, 1988. On July 15, 1996, they became partners with Holiday Inn.
Guests are greeted at the entrance by Nevada's largest neon rainbow and Mr. O'Lucky, a 35-foot tall leprechaun. Inside downtown's tallest casino/hotel guests can stay in one of the 624 newly remodeled rooms and suites or watch the Fremont Street Experience light and sound show from the second floor balcony or the atrium in McDonald's.
Dining is a tantalizing experience at Fitzgeralds Holiday Inn. The variety pleases every palate with gourmet steaks and seafood at Limericks Steakhouse; buffet dining at Molly's Coffee Shoppe and Buffet; traditional Italian specialties at Vincenzo's Italian Cafe; and liquor-flavored ice cream and coffees at Mr. O'Lucky's Ice Cream Shoppe and Coffee Pub. The Shamrock Cafe is open 24-hours a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Swensen's Ice Cream has delicious ice cream snacks and McDonalds offers quick snacks for those in a hurry to eat.
For relaxing try the poker Pub or the Lucky Bar on the first floor, or the Sports Bar on the second level while you watch the Fremont Street Experience. For gifts or souvenirs shop in the O'Luck's Gift Shoppe, for jewelry the Tower of Jewels.
Fitzgeralds Holiday Inn offers a full selection of gaming in its 42,000 square foot casino. The casino has 24 gaming tables with blackjack, craps, roulette, Let it Ride, Three Card Poker and other favorite card games. The casino has over 1,100 slot and video machines ranging from pennies to $5.00 and all of the popular games. The Nickel Zone has 120 nickel machines. Fitzgeralds also offers $1,000,000 Keno and betting in the Sportsbook Room.
