Casino history November 16, 1964, ground broke. Hotel was dedicated to owner/builder Ben Goffstein's four daughters, Faith, Hope, Benita and Michele. It began as a pint-size property with 120 rooms and a casino of 20,000-square-feet. In 1976, the casino expanded to 33,000-square-feet, and the new decor set the interior-decorating trend for Las Vegas casinos by replacing the typical gambling-house red and black with warm earth tones. Another casino expansion in 1977, enlarged the casino to 40,000-square-feet. It now takes up the full block of Fremont Street from Casino Center to Third Street.
Another addition in 1981, added an eighteen-story, 400-room tower with a new front desk and lobby area plus 8,000 more square-feet of casino space bringing it currently to 690 rooms, and approximately 59,000 square-feet of casino space.
