AVI (ah-vee) is around 15 miles south of Laughlin, NV on the Fort Mohave Indian Reservation. Head south on Casino Drive past Harrah's. Follow Casino Drive to the end, turn left towards Needles, CA. Make a left where the AVI sign is, follow the blacktop road about five miles to the hotel/casino.
AVI is a clean, lively, attractive, friendly establishment with 300 spacious rooms, including 29 spa suites. Room rates were as low as $12.00 a night Sunday through Thursday during our visit. AVI has a 300 space RV Park with full hookups, pull throughs, recreational area, cable TV, phone service, laundry & shower facilities and a convenience store. Daily rate $15.00, holidays and weekends $17.00, weekly $85.00. RV guest have full access to the resort's amenities, which includes a pool, spa, fitness center and private beach.
Avi's 25,000 square foot casino has 735 slot machines with the latest games, 20 gaming tables, two Craps tables, 3 high stake poker tables, keno and a Sportsbook, with blackjack, craps, Caribbean Stud and Let It Ride.Winnings are taxable, the same as the other Nevada casinos.
Special events are held in the 8,700-square-foot River Garden Pavillion, fully enclosed, lighted and cooled for events which include boxing, concerts, trade shows and conventions. The Pavillion seats up to 500 for a sit down dinner, 800 for concert events.
The Arroweed Lounge had a live band which kept the crowd rockin & rollin to the sound of the music. You can relax at the Roadrunner Bar & Sports Lounge, Coyote Club or enjoy southwestern elegance in the Moon Shadow Grill. The Cactus Garden Cafe serves Breakfast $3.99, lunch $4.49 and dinner $5.99 buffets. Seafood on Friday $7.99, Sunday a Prime Rib dinner for $6.99. All prices subject to change.

Amenities include a sandy beach, marina & boat launch, swimming pool, spa, video arcade, gift shop, banquet & conference facilities, smoke shop, Texaco gas station, fireworks. Golf is available at the adacent Mojave Resort Club with a par 72, 18 hole championship course. Sea Doo rentals and tours to area attractions are also available as well as a Kids Quest child care service. Tuesday nights are senior nights from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
