Bally's 2,814 beautifully-appointed rooms are among the largest in Las Vegas. Their suites provide guest with elegance and sophistication.

The original hotel-casino complex opened as the MGM Grand in 1973, with 2,100-rooms but was forced to close after a devastating fire during the fall of 1980. While under re-construction the newest in fire safety equipment was added to protect guests and a second hotel tower with 714-rooms was added. MGM Grand sold the property to the Bally Corporation in 1986, for over $500 million. During 1995, a $25 million monorail system linking Bally's and the MGM Grand together was build. Bally's continuously updates the property to provide guest with the best in comforts and amenities.

Amenities to their most valued guest include special check-in, preferred baggage handling, free continental breakfast from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., complimentary admittance to the Spa, turn-down service, open bar from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and concierge service for dinner and Las Vegas shows.

Bally's Spa is open to guest 18 and older from 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily -- 1day $20.00, 2 days $34.00, 3 days $50.00 and 4 days $62.00. Non-Bally guest $25.00, one time only. Admission includes the use of the fitness area, steam rooms, hot and body temperature spas, the cold spa for men only, the men's wet and dry saunas, and the women's dry sauna. Prices include the use of safe deposit boxes, lockers, towels, spa sandals, juices, mineral water and all amenities provided.

Swedish massage therapy costs $45.00 for a half hour, $70.00 for a full hour, facility fees are included. Men's spa treatments of Russian Leaf therapy $12.00, Salt Glow treatment $12.00 plus facility fee. Women's spa treatments, Panthermal $45.00, Belavi Facelift massage system $60, facility fees included. Tanning bed $10.00 and Oxygen Pep-up $5.00, both with or without use of facilities.

Swedish massage improves circulation, muscle aches, tension, flexibility and relaxation. Russian Leaf therapy is performed in a steam room, cleans body pores. Salt Glow removes dead skin and stimulates circulation. For women only, Panthermal is a facial for the body in a private steam room, stimulates body functions, improves skin texture, helps lose weight.

Wedding Chapel services. Seating for 50 guest or small groups. A professional photographer, bridal flowers, catering and other hotel services are available from Bally's professional wedding consultants (702) 739-4939 or (800) 872-1211.

Bally's offers top name entertainment in its Celebrity Room. Past performers have been Paul Anka, Engelbert Humperdinck, Liza Minnelli, Louie Anderson, Andrew "Dice" Clay, Anne Murray, George Carlin and others. Showtimes: Sunday and Monday 8:00 p.m., Tuesday thru Thursday and Saturday 8:00 and 11:00 p.m., dark on Friday. Tickets (702) 737-4567 or (800) 237-SHOW.

Amenities include a people-mover walkway from the Strip, Bally's Avenue Shoppes with everything from souvenirs to clothing. Retail outlets include the Gift Shop, P.S. galleries, Country Place, Uniquely Crystal, Marshall Rousso, Royal Tees, We-R-Nuts, Le Grand Jewels, Mort Wallin, Addi Art Gallery, Gift World, Arts of Asia, Sporting Image, The Las Vegas Experience, Studio 15 Hair Shoppe and Chocolate Heaven.

You can have your hair set at Paul Addi's Hair Salon, enjoy the Spa, video arcade, Olympic-sized swimming pool, eight tennis courts ( lit at night), a snack from the Terrace Cafe (in season), or make a purchase in Splashes poolside shoppe. Show tickets are available at "The Box Office." Relax at the VIP Lounge near the Bell Desk, give yourself a treat with a massage, steam bath or sauna. After you've relaxed take a stroll in Bally's Avenue of Shoppes, grab an ice cream cone or hop onto the free Monorail that takes you to the MGM Grand. If you have young children between the ages of 2 and 13 drop them off at the child care center.

Bally's offers 175,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibit space for groups of 45 to 4,500 in the Las Vegas and Pacific Ballrooms on the second and third floors.

Enjoy hot name entertainment in the Jubilee Theater or gaming action in the 67,000-square-ft casino with 1,900 slot and video machines, 90 gaming tables, 8 craps tables, a Hi-Roller room with 15 tables or relax in the keno lounge, Race & Sports Book or one of several bar lounges. Bally's Race & Sports Book has 26 big screen monitors and 210 personal ones.
