Harrah's Hotel-Casino is set in the Sierra Nevada mountains amidst towering pines and the shore of the world's beautiful "Alpine Lake." William Fisk Harrah opened Harrah's Lake Tahoe in '55. Harrah's has completed a four-year project of remodeling every room, the 16th floor Dignitary Suites, 18th floor Forest Buffet and Friday's Station Steak & Seafood Grill. The project was completed in June 2000. Harrah's Entertainment operates twenty casinos under the Harrah's, Showboat and Rio names.
