The Horizon is a western theme casino resort owned by Radisson Hotels. Located close to the Edgewood Golf Course, Ski Run Marina and Emerald Bay, the resort has 539 rooms, some with hot tubs, three restaurants, live entertainment and meeting facilities.
Nineteen of the resorts 539 rooms are either Dignitary, Presidential or Honeymoon suites. One is called the Elvis Suite because Elvis slept in the room during the 60s. Room rates vary by season and type of room from $89.00 to $159.00 except at Christmas time the rate for all rooms is $200.00 a night. Dining includes: the Le Grande Buffet with all-you-can-eat buffets with pastas, prime rib, deserts, American, Chinese and Italian entries. For fine dining Josh's has steaks, pastas and seafood. Four Season's is open 24-hours a day for round-the-clock dining with breakfast specials, speciality sandwiches, salads, American and International favorites.
The 34,000-square-foot casino has nearly 800 slot and video machines, thirty-seven gaming tables with Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, Pai Gow, roulette, three craps tables and a Race & Sports Book. You can play as many keno games as you like and take up to seven days to collect your winnings or play Multi Race Keno which allows you up to one year to collect your winnings if you play 21 to 1,000 games.
For entertainment take in a first run movie at the Horizon Stadium Cinemas, go dancing at Lily's Beach Club, Lake Tahoe's largest dance club with live entertainment Tuesday through Sunday starting at 9 p.m. or Aspen's Lounge from 5 to 9 p.m. or the second feature from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The Golden Cabaret has two nightly shows at 8 and 10 p.m. with female impersonators from Tuesday through Sunday.
The Horizon has a wedding chapel, Baskin Robbins, Enterprise rent-a-car, Port of Subs, Cigar Co. store, Black Pearl Gallery, Breeze ski rental outlet and a Sato Japanese Restaurant.
