The Atlantis is located directly across the street from the Convention Center. Beginning as the Golden Road Motor Inn in the 1970s Atlantis has envolved into a premier property with award- winning friendly service, exotic tropical decor, luxurious accommodations, live entertainment and exciting casino action.
Atlantis' $120 million expansion turned the complex into a 27-story, 305 foot tower with a total of 1,512 rooms including 137 suites. A total of 392 rooms and 45 suites were added, hotel lobby expanded, three glass elevators added to transport guests to their rooms and Atlantis' health club facility was expanded including the kidney-shaped pool with a tube ride for a total of two pools.
Accommodations include luxurious Jacuzzi suites with king size beds, separate living rooms and wet bars. Tower Rooms have a view of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Motorlodge is a two-story structure near the Main Tower. All rooms have 24-hour room service.
Atlantis increased its gaming space by 25,000 sq. ft. to a total of 48,000 sq. ft. with a three-story waterfall and a 60 x 120 foot glass bubble enclosure, increased their convention and special events space to 40,000 square feet, expanded the award-winning Toucan Charlie's Buffet & Grille, added three new restaurants with seating for 800 bringing the total seating capacity to 1,857 in Atlantis' eight restaurants. Added a brand new 40,000 square foot entertainment plaza, skyways to the Reno-Sparks Convention Center and the existing west parking lot. The new 4-story parking garage includes 1,831 spaces.
Atlantis offers single-deck blackjack, exclusive 25-cent and $1.00 Radical Royals video poker which offers 50,000 coin payouts ($12,500 or $50,000 in cash) either right-to-left, or left-to-right sequential royal flushes, "Spin the Wheel" reel slot machine, the Blazing 7's, and "Jungle of Jackpots." The Atlantis has 1,500 slot and video poker machines, 45 gaming tables, Three Card Poker, a sports book and sports bar.
Free nightly entertainment is offered in the Musical Cabaret. The Atlantis Nightclub has nightly DJ music and dancing in an exotic and dazzling undersea setting. High above the casino floor is the 24-hour Entertainment Fun Center with over 100 video and arcade games and a snack bar with sodas, soups, sandwiches and ice cream treats.
The Atlantis Casino Resort received a total of seven "Best of" Reno and Best of Northern Nevada awards. Amenities include RV parking, a gift shop, entertainment fun center health spa with a sauna, massages, outdoor heated pool, spa, sun deck and laundry services.
Atlantis Seafood Steakhouse is highlighted by a dramatic 1,100 gallon saltwater aquarium. Casual dining. Angus steaks and prime rib, ocean-fresh seafood, gourmet pastas and desserts prepared tableside. Toucan Charlie's Buffet & Grille, voted "Best of Reno" features bountiful selections in a tropical atmosphere. Unique theme nights in addition to a complete American buffet and hand-carved prime rib nightly. Start with a trip to the Mongolian Barbecue. Additional highlights include a soup and garden-fresh salad bar, specialty salads made to order, breakfast omelettes cooked to order, a desert and sundae bar. Cafe Alfresco, also voted "Best of Reno" offers Italian specialties and drinks in an airy setting overlooking the casino floor. Wood-fired brick oven pizzas are the specialty of the house. In addition, creative pasta dishes, foccacia sandwiches and garden-fresh salads are featured. Homemade Italian desserts, espresso and cappuccino. Purple Parrot Restaurant features an American menu and breakfast 24 hours a day.
