Harrah's Reno has 950 deluxe guest rooms and suites, 70,000 square feet of casino space, 400-seat showroom and 6 restaurants including the Planet Hollywood and a McDonald's. Amenities include: 24-hour room service, a health club, pool, in-house massage, shoe shines and a beauty shop. Fifty percent of the hotel guest rooms are non-smoking.
The Steak House at Harrah's Reno received two industry honors, the 1999 AAA Four Diamond Award and 1999 DiRoNA Award from the Distinguished Restaurants of North America. The Steak House is among 563 restaurants in the United States, Canada and Mexico that was recognized with a DiRoNA Award for its commitment to creating a distinguished dining experience. Evaluations are conducted by professional inspectors who survey every aspect of the dining experience from food quality to presentation of the check at the end of the meal. The inspectors also judge the quality of the physical property as well as the room temperature, lighting and wine list. The Steakhouse restaurant accommodates 100 guests, offers private executive dining for up to 16. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., dinner from 5:00 p.m. nightly.
To accommodate the demand for moderately-priced rooms, Harrah's Reno opened the Hampton Inn at Harrah's Reno on October 1, 1995. With 408 rooms, this is the world's largest Hampton Inn and includes many features other Hampton Inns don't, such as a bell desk, valet parking, an original art exhibit, fitness center and easy access to the casino. Like the other 500 Hampton Inns in the country, Hampton Inn at Harrah's Reno offers a complimentary breakfast and a national reputation for 100% customer satisfaction.
Harrah's Reno has a 15,000 sq. ft. convention center that accommodates banquets for 900 people, cocktail receptions for 1200 guests, or as many as nine break-out rooms.
Since February 1987, Harrah's Reno has awarded over $39 million in Megabucks and Super Megabucks jackpots. Reno's largest jackpot, $9,346,876 was hit on a Megabucks slot machine in 1992, and Reno's largest quarter jackpot was hit at Harrah's Reno in January 1996. On September 19, 1998, a 38-year Daly City, California man who switched casinos to change his luck won $14,014,994.86 after investing only $30.00. Harrah's has held several top jackpot records, $12.5 million in April 1997, the first Megabucks jackpot of $4.9 million in 1987, and $9.3 million jackpot in 1992.
Gaming includes 1580 slots and video poker machines, 73 gaming tables for craps, Blackjack, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Roulette, Keno, a Race and Sportsbook. Free gaming lessons are offered to guest.
Sammy's Showroom has 440-seats for production shows and adult revues. The showroom was named after Sammy Davis Jr. who made nearly 40 performances between October 26, 1967, and February 15, 1989. The North Beach Deli in the Sports Casino has subs, soups, salads and gourmet coffees from 8 a.m. Club Cappuccino servers espresso, mochas and cappuccino plus freshly baked muffins, danishes, scones and pizzas.

Reno is the home of the National Bowling Stadium which hosts the men's and women's national tournaments for the A.B.C. & the W.I.B.C. every three years. Opened in 1995, the National Bowling Stadium and its 70mm IWERKS movie theater are "must see" attractions for Reno visitors.
Other Reno area attractions that offer fun for the entire family, include shopping, parks and museums. One highlight is the William F Harrah Foundation National Automobile Museum, which features more than 200 classic vehicles and chronicles the history of the automobile and its impact on society.
Reno also has a national reputation as a center for a wide range of special events. In June, the "Reno Rodeo," one of the country's richest, kicks off the summer. "Hot August Nights" fills the first week of August with a city-wide tribute to the music, dress and automobiles of the '50s and early '60s. September brings spectacular sights to the air with "The Great Reno Balloon Race" and the "National Championship Air Races," both favorites among local and visiting crowds. In October, Reno now the home of the "World Championship Chili Cookoff" with booths, live entertainment and district champion "chili heads" from all over the country competing for the top prize.
