The Sands Regency business has been passed down from generation to generation and still is operated by family members. The Sands has 836 rooms and suites including non-smoking and handicap rooms. Entertainment is offered in the Comedy Club Wednesday thru Sunday, Tuesday through Saturday in the Empress Lounge.
The Sands has four restaurants. Tony Roma's specialty is ribs, burgers, chicken, steaks, sandwiches and salads. The Palm Court's 24- hour restaurant features a anytime breakfast and sandwiches for guest desiring something quick or light. Antonia's Pasta Garden claims - "if you love the Olive Garden," you'll love they're Italian entries and dinners with a bottom-less salad bowl and fresh garlic bread sticks. Cabana Cafe servers quick meals and snacks including bagels, deli sandwiches, donuts and muffins daily from 6 a.m. Chain restaurants include an Arby's and Pizza Hut.
Amenities include: free use of the Penthouse health club, free airport shuttle service, a tour desk, ski and golf packages, ground level and garage parking, RV parking without hookups. The health club located on the 17th floor has a large Jacuzzi, exercise facility, steam rooms, a sauna, large swimming pool and massages by appointment.
The Sands Regency's 27,000 square-foot casino has around 800 slot and video machines, 17 gaming tables, 1 craps table and a keno parlor and sportsbook. Preferred Players Club members receive $5.00 cash for 200 points, $10.00 cash for 400 points, a free room Sunday through Thursday for 800 points or 1800 points on Friday and Saturday. Free daily slot tournaments are available to Club members with $300.00 in daily prizes.
On display near the entrance are two of the original slot machines the first owners started the business with. Room rates start at $45.00 a night. Prices, prizes subject to change.
