The Bellagio opened for business on October 15, 1998. The new mega resort cost $1.6 billion. On display is a $285 million fine art collection.

The resort's ambiance is elegant, yet its relaxed, a sophisticated gathering place for visitors from the world over. The Bellagio features extensive use of picture windows throughout its design through which guests can enjoy the romantic vistas of the lushly landscaped grounds, soothing waterfalls and classical gardens.
The resort's design was inspired by the idyllic village of Bellagio which overlooks Italy's magnificent Lake Como. Like it's Italian namesake, the resort overlooks a lake, 12 acres of water featuring an extraordinary array of lights and water jets. This $30 million choreographed water ballet is the publics signature for Bellagio, just as The Mirage's volcano and Treasure Island's Pirate Battle have welcomed guests. Bellagio's 3,000 guest rooms and suites achieve an unmatched level of luxury and lavishness, decorated with European antiquities and artwork The bathrooms feature separate showers and bathtubs, making extensive use of imported marble.
A centerpiece of excitement at Bellagio is a new $70 million production created by Cirque du Soleil. This Montreal-based company has been the innovator of some of the most critically-acclaimed performances in the world including the hugely successful "Mystere" at Treasure Island.

Bellagio's entrance statement is a 12-acre lake with soothing fountains which each evening dazzles guests with a choreographed ballet of water, music and lights. This display takes place several times daily.
Bellagio's 35-story tower features 3,000 luxurious guest rooms, including 270 suites. Sumptuous fabrics, traditionally-styled furnishings, European artwork and antiquities give each room a lavish yet comfortable and residential feel. An elegant VIP lounge is provided exclusively for casino customers with guest tower elevators exclusively for their use.
The resort features a variety of dining experiences, from the casual comfort of bistros and cafes to the elegant surroundings of more internationally-acclaimed restaurants. All of the restaurants feature panoramic views, both indoor and outdoor dining experiences.
Cirque du Soleil's "O" Beyond circus, beyond theatre, Cirque du Soleil has created an entirely original form of live entertainment. "O" is an exquisite and imaginative show performed in, on and above water, featuring a cast of 74 artists from around the world. Nightly performances at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. $100.00-$100 per person, tax included. Dark Wednesday and Thursday.
Art Gallery The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is an internationally recognized collection of impressionist and post- impressionist works. The gallery displays paintings and sculptures from the most respected artist of the late 19th and 20th century including Pablo Picasso, Vincent van Gogh and Charles Monet. Fountains of Bellagio At Bellagio, more than a thousand fountains dance in front of the hotel, enhanced by music and light. The display spans more than 1,000 feet with water soaring as high as 240 feet into the air. The dynamic collaboration is choreographed to music ranging from the classic arias of Luciano Pavarotti to the romantic stylings of Frank Sinatra. The performances take place every half-hour, Sunday through Friday, 5:00 p.m. to midnight and Saturday, 2:00 p.m. to midnight. Admission is free.
