Casino de Montreal is located a few miles from downtown Montreal near the De la Concorde Bridge. The casino has over 3,000 slot and video machines, 117 gaming tables with Blackjack, Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, Let It Ride, Pai Gow Poker and Roulette. The 500,000 square foot casino also offers guest electronic bingo, electronic-track horse racing and Keno.

Casino de Montreal is open 24-hours a day, seven days a week. They do not issue lines of credit, accept credit cards, give cash advances or cash personal checks. Jackpots are paid in full, winnings are tax free. Traveler's checks are accepted. Alcoholic beverages are not served or allowed in the gaming areas. Guest must be at least 18 years of age. Free self parking and coat check.

Free shuttle service to and from the casino is offered from the Centre Infotouriste at 1001 Dorchester Square. Shuttle hours are very limited so call (514) 392-2746 before going to the Square for operating schedules.

The casino has four restaurants: La bonne carte with buffet-style and menu selections; L'entre-mise for snacks; Nuances for gourmet dining; and Via Fortuna has Italian selections. Bars include: Le carre, Le cheval, Le jardin d'hiver and La rotonde. Live entertainment is offered in the 500-seat le Cabaret du Casino. The casino opened on October 9, 1993

Montreal's history dates back to 1534, when Jacques Cartier discovered an Indian village occupied by the Hochelaga tribe while sailing down the Saint Lawrence River. In 1611, Samuel de Champlain opened a trading post in the area, but the area did not become a settlement until 1642. The island of Montreal only consists of around 60-square-miles (156-sq. kilometers), but is unique because it has retained its 18th and 19th-century look as well as having both above ground and below ground stores and office buildings. The area offers tourist a number of interesting attractions dating back to the mid-1600's. The majority of Montreal's residents speak French.
