Bronco Billy's Sports Bar & Casino in Cripple Creek opened their fourth expansion in July 1998, in the form of a new casino, Buffalo Billy's. The facility added another 6,000 square feet of gaming space and amenities to the location.
The addition added 200 state-of-the-art slot machines including quarter video poker progressives at the new bars. The 2nd floor of Buffalo Billy's (Aug. 98) included "The Steakhouse," a weekend dinner restaurant serving a selection of prime steaks, seafood and gourmet pizza; new "Sports Theater" with multi-level tiered seating for 70 at booths and cocktail tables; a bar & additional slots, providing opportunities for full-service, weekday banquets and private parties.
Buffalo Billy's elevator provided easy access to the upper levels in both casinos and another blackjack pit in Bronco Billy's lower level "Bullpen'' to accommodate "21" players.
Bronco Billy's was a sports bar and casino in Cripple Creek ... famous for its "Double Jackpots" and for giving away lots of money.
Entertainment opportunities included over 600 slot and video poker machines ($0.05 to $5 machines). They also had the only Nickel Progressive Poker Bar in Cripple Creek, as well as three Quarter Progressive Poker Bars, a Diamond & Gold dollar progressive, and six blackjack tables.
Bronco Billy's had 47 satellite sports TVs, a Sports Theater, four big screen TVs and free Pay-Per-View events. Bronco Billy's featured "Double Jackpots" for two minutes at the top of every hour, all day, and "Double Jackpots" from midnight to close every evening. MVP Club members earned cash back for their play, prizes and special promotions!
The Home Cafe served American Grill meals and daily specials, including 49-cent breakfasts, $6.95 T-Bone dinners and a Taco John's.
For the sixth consecutive year, Bronco Billy's was voted the "Best Casino in Cripple Creek." Bronco Billy's, like many of the other small casinos had trouble competing with the new casinos in Black Hawk.
