The Double Eagle Hotel & Casino is a modern state-of-the-art hotel and casino featuring 159 hotel rooms and suites with king or queen beds, remote-controlled television, in-room movie channels, three versatile meeting rooms, two bars, upscale restaurant, 600 slot and video machines, six gaming tables spanning a 45,000 square foot casino on two levels and six acres of parking. Suites have in-room safes and honor bars.
The facility employs the latest in lodging and gaming network systems for reservations and player tracking, inter-linked voice and data communications, and computerized ventilation and environment controls.
Designed to be reminiscent of the historic structures which adorned the city of Cripple Creek during the pre-World War I era, the Double Eagle presents the hospitality and glamour of the "roaring 20's". With its breath-taking stained glass barrel ceiling, complete with two gold-leafed renditions of a 1927 Double Eagle coin, elegant winding staircases, and colorful signs throughout the casino, the Double Eagle offers its guests a unforgettable gaming experience.
Room service, an up-scale restaurant, two entertainment bars, gift shop, and a full-service staff will make sure your needs are always serviced. As an added convenience, the Double Eagle, the largest casino in Colorado, offers free valet parking & free daily shuttle bus service to its Creeker's Casino, the 5th largest casino in Cripple Creek.
Located on the southwestern corner of Bennett and 5th, where Route 67 and Bennett come together, the Double Eagle provides superior access and visibility to all motorist and pedestrian traffic entering or exiting the city of Cripple Creek.
The six-story, $45 million resort is named after the $20 Double Eagle gold coin's minted in the 1920s. The resort offers free buffet breakfasts to guests. Standard room rates $99 week days, $119 on weekends, Superior Kings $109/$129, Deluxe King $119/$139, Junior Suite $129/$159 and Executive Suites $500 a day. A 10% discount is given to members of AARP, AAA members and military personal.
The Double Eagle awarded over $239,000 in jackpot winnings the first five days it was open. Ken and Madeline McManus of Denver hit the Double Eagle custom-designed progressive jackpot for over $50,000 two days after the casino opened.
