The floating casino measures 608 ft. x 113 ft. The record-setting tow took the Gargantuan Casino from Louisiana, down the Atchafalaya River into the Gulf of Mexico, up the MS River, through the Chandeleur Sound and into the Back Bay of Biloxi.

One of the most storied models in the long history of Mercedes-Benz -- a 300SL "gull-wing" coupe -- was the first automobile to enter the Biloxi, MS branch of the world famous Imperial Palace's Antique and Classic Auto Collection. The bright red German sports car was one of more than 100 cars, trucks and motorcycles displayed on the 2nd floor of the parking facility before the Auto Museum in Biloxi closed in 1999.

Derived directly from the very successful race car that shared its model designation -- 300SL referring to its three-liter engine, and S L standing for "sport and light" -- the 300SL became a production car only because noted New York sports car importer Max Hoffman convinced Mercedes-Bent management to build one. He validated his enthusiasm by ordering 1,000 SL copies of the car. The 300SL coupe's best known and most easily recognized features are its roof-hinged, gullwing doors made necessary by its very light, steel-tube space frame, which couldn't accept conventional doors. Even so, at 2,700 pounds, the production car weighed 800 pounds more than its racing counterpart.

So to keep the gullwing's performance from disappointing, Mercedes-Bent engineers gave the three-liter, inline six a new cylinder head and added fuel injection. This was the first use of fuel injection in a gasoline production engine, and the resulting 240-horsepower gave the 300 SL a top speed of 140 miles-per-hour making it the fastest car on the road in 1955. The auto collection's red gullwing was only one of "867" manufactured in 1955. In fact, total gullwing coupe production was a mere 1400 from 1954-1957. The Imperial Palace, center-strip Las Vegas branch of the Antique & Classic Auto Collection features one of these rare beauties finished in gleaming black.

Al (Scarface) Capone's 1930 limousine weighs over 10,000 pounds -- thanks to the armored plating that lines the driver's compartment and bullet-proof glass in the windshield and side windows. The car is powered by Cadillac's legendary V-16 engine. The Duesenberg wears a Murphy body that features a rare disappearing convertible top The car was on display in front of the Las Vegas Imperial Palace.

Another fine car in the Imperial's collection includes Rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley's once owned, blue and white 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Coupe, which is now part of the world-famous Imperial Palace Auto Collection.
