History of The President Casino Broadwater Resort
The Broadwater Beach Hotel opened its doors in 1939, with 44 guest rooms and cottages. For the next 19 years the hotel was owned and operated by Peter Martin, Sr. After Martin's death in 1958, Joe Brown acquired the Broadwater Beach Hotel. His wife, Dorothy, became actively interested in the hotel grounds and construction of new units. Dorothy took over the hotel after the death of her husband and added an additional 46 units in 1960.
Under Dorothy's watch, the Broadwater Beach Resort become ....... "the finest resort, sports complex and convention facility in the South" boosting 360 rooms, cottages and suites, 2 swimming pools, two 18-hole championship golf courses, badminton, ping pong, shuffleboard, jogging tracks, the largest covered slip marina in the South with charter boats available for full/ or half day fishing. The J.E.C. Corporation purchased the Broadwater Beach Hotel in 1992. At the same time Broadwater Resort combined with the Broadwater East Tower (formerly the Grande Biloxi) and the Broadwater Inn (formerly Ramada Inn) for a combined total of three hotels with over 800 rooms. In 1992, the President Casino opened in the Broadwater Marina - the second casino to begin operations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The original riverboat casino was replaced by the current 38,000 sq. ft. facility in 1996. In 1997, the President Casinos Inc. purchased the Broadwater Beach Resort, Broadwater East Tower, Broadwater Marina and Broadwater Sun Course from the J.E.C. Corporation to form the President Casino Broadwater Resort.
With its 260 acres of ground shaded by ancient live oaks, over 500 guest rooms and suites across the street from the casino, 50,000 -sq. -ft. of meeting space for up to 1,000 people, 24 hour gaming, marina, President Broadwater Golf Club and resort amenities, the President Casino Broadwater Resort offers a unique combination of relaxing, traditional Southern charm and exciting casino entertainment.

The Broadwater resort has a championship golf course, live entertainment in the Vegas Vegas Showbar, 10 lighted tennis courts, jogging trail, shuffleboard, playground, swimming pool, 26-miles of sandy beach, three outdoor pools and a 121-berth covered marina with deep sea fishing charters. The 260-acre resort has free valet and free self parking, four clay courts, a beauty salon with therapeutic massages, exercise and weight room, a volleyball court.
Several restaurants are located in the hotel. Presidents Buffet serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, Sunday brunch. Audree's Fine Dining specializes in steaks and seafoods. Restaurants also include Largo's, the Royal Terrace and several full-service bars.

Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week - free membership in the Captain's Club. The Broadwater Casino has over 950 slot and video poker machines, 36 gaming tables with progressive table games for Blackjack, Caribbean Stud Poker, craps, Let It Ride, roulette, Three Card Poker, a private Poker Parlor featuring Seven Card Stud and Texas Hold-Em, and a high-limit slot area with $5.00, $10.00 and $25 machines. Weekly tournaments - fabulous giveaways. President's Buffet features prime rib and crab legs, Audree's, fine dining with Black Angus steaks and seafood. Live top name entertainment is offered in the "Vegas Vegas Showbar" Wednesday through Sunday. Both on the 2nd level.
Additional restaurants include The Oyster House with specialty seafood favorites and the Brass Banana Lounge on the 1st level offering burgers, philly steaks, appetizers and various sandwiches.
