Nevada Landing is located about 25 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip in Jean, Nevada off the I-15. The newly refurbished rooms are very attractive compared to what they use to be. Internet rates, like the Gold Strikes, were $18.00 a night, walk-ins around $30.00, so book the room before you leave home. The employees we spoke to were friendly, food was good, our room rate included a free breakfast. Prices subject to change.
The 300-room hotel has spacious rooms and Jacuzzi suites in a structure designed to look like an old riverboat. Mandalay Bay (formerly Circus Circus) owns the property as well as the Railroad Pass in Henderson and Gold Strike across the street. Nevada Landing has four restaurants, a 35,000-square-foot casino, live music, heated pool, nickel arcade for kids, free shuttle service to the Gold Strike, acres of free parking.
The casino has over 1,000 slot and video poker machines, 18 gaming tables with Poker, single deck 21, two craps tables, roulette, 2X odds on craps and a keno parlor.
Restaurants include: The Captain's Cafe with a 24-hour menu with everything from ham steak and eggs to prim rib and lobster. The Jade Room specializes in authentic Chinese cuisine and a Saturday and Sunday Champagne Brunch. Bayou Belle Buffet has a variety of forty selections and deserts. The Dock Grill is a snack bar with old-fashioned prices. Nevada Landing offers the same 99-cent through $14.99 specials the Gold Strike does.
