The Primadonna was renamed the "Primm Valley Resort & Casino." During 1997, a second championship golf course was added, casino space doubled to 46,100 square feet, a 21,400-square-foot conference area was added to hold groups of up to 1,250, all of the public areas including the bars, restaurants and buffet were renovated using a golf theme. New restaurants were added as well as a a parking garage and intra-resort transportation systems. By mid-1998, the Primm Valley casino was expanded another 15,000-square- feet to connect directly to the "Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas," a highly-themed, upscale factory outlet mall (Fall '98). All 660 guest rooms were renovated in 19'96.
The new Fashion Outlet of Las Vegas opened July 16, 1998, next door to the Primm Valley Resort. The new mall has around 100 shoppes with factory outlet prices.
The Primm Valley Resort has 250 RV hook-ups, 660 spacious attractive guest rooms with large beds and reasonable room rates, luxurious suites with wetbars, a hot Jacuzzi and tropical garden pool. Weekends sell out quickly and require a two-day reservation. Book early if you plan on staying at the Primm Valley.
At night the lit 100 foot high animated Ferris wheel can be seen for miles. On the lower level of the Primm Valley Resort near the registration desk is a set of stairs that leads to the video arcade and eight-lane bowling alley. The musical carousel was removed to reinforce the upper floor levels.
The original casino had 1409 slot and video machines, 31 gaming tables with Blackjack, Caribbean Stud poker and other table games as well as one craps table, a five table poker room, keno and a Race and Sports Book.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the 24-hour Animal Crackers. Gary's Garage offers an all-you-can-eat buffet with lunch and dinner selections. Live entertainment is offered Thursday-Monday. The Skydiver Restaurant opens at 5:00 p.m. offering steaks, seafood, ribs and daily specials.
The Primm is located about a half mile north of the California\Nevada state line, 43 miles south of Las Vegas on Route I-15. Gasoline and diesel fuel are available at the Unocal station adjacent to the property as well as quick foods at a McDonald's.
Free shuttle service is available between Buffalo Bills, Whiskey Pete's and the Primm RV park.
