The Showboat Mardi Gras Casino is a riverboat casino located in East Chicago. It has a 158,000 square-foot casino and pavilion making it the largest floating casino facility in NW Indiana. The $200 million gaming and entertainment complex includes 53,000 sq. feet. of gaming space on the vessel, a 105,000 sq. ft. pavilion -- 3,750 customer capacity plus a crew of 500 -- 1,769 slot machines, including 11 progressive links -- 90 gaming tables with Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Mini Baccarat, Caribbean Draw Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, Let It Ride and a Big 6 wheel. The well lit parking lot has 1,800 spaces.
The Showboat has a dedicated poker room with 7 Card Stud, Omaha and Texas Hold'Em. The ship has a Mardi Gras theme throughout. The 1st floor: Jesters -- 2nd floor: Jewels -- 3rd floor: Kings and Queens - 4th floor: Fireworks - 33 original oil painted murals, The French Quarter Room offers upscale gourmet dining. Cafe Orleans, informal dining and a buffet; the Mardi Gras Grill serves snacks.
