Hard Rock Hotel & Casino

Peter Morton's original Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was an eleven-story, 340-room, $150 million complex that opened on March 10, 1995. The Hard Rock was the first Rock'N'Roll hotel and casino. The casino features a $2 million collection of rare memorabilia from the world's greatest rock music and movie legends. The recent $100 million expansion in May, 1999, added 320-rooms bringing the total room count to 660. Mr. Morton is considering adding another 350-rooms. You don't have to be in your twenties to enjoy the collection, or to stop by to purchase Hard Rock memorabilia for yourself, family members or friends.

The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is also the first casino to allow guests and gamblers the chance to help "Save The Planet." The hotel recycles all glass, aluminum, steel, paper and cardboard products used. Conserving water is a top priority. All rooms are equipped with low-flow toilets, pool and laundry water is reused for irrigation, and automatic shut-off valves are installed on all public faucets.

Proceeds from special slot machines go to the Natural Resources Defense Council, Conservation International and Sting's Rainforest Foundation. These specially-designed slot machines feature an electronic Tote Board that ticks off the seconds of the remaining rainforest acres on the planet, raising awareness of our decreasing natural resources.

The Hard Rock housekeeping staff uses only non-toxic, biodegradable cleaning products when cleaning the rooms; recycled paper and soy-cased inks are used for all printing needs. All leftover food, clothing and furniture are donated to the homeless and the hungry. Food with a conscience, organic produce and vegetarian alternatives are featured on all room service and hotel restaurant menus.

The casino is located behind the Hard Rock Cafe. A 90-foot Fender guitar is located in the parking lot. An inscription over the hotel/casino front door reads "When This House is Rockin," and guest are greeted with "Flying V" guitar door handles.

Room rates vary from $75-250 per night Sunday through Thursday, $135 to $300 Friday and Saturday. Suites $250 to $500. Rooms are double occupancy, feature French doors that open with views over the hotels pool or surrounding mountains. Rooms have King or queen-size beds with leather headboards, color TV's, four all music channels, phones with fax/data ports and complimentary bath products. Rates subject to change.
