TropWorld Casino & Entertainment Resort, Aztar Corporations flag-ship property, officially became the Tropicana Casino & Resort July 4, 1996 after completion of a $100 million expansion - renovation project. The Tropicana has 1,624 hotel rooms and suites including the new 604-room West Tower, a $5 million Hotel Lobby; and extensive room and suite renovations in the North and South Towers.
The expansive 110,000-square-foot casino features more than 3,200 slot machines from $.10 to $100, 154 table games including the luxurious Baccarat Room and Jade Palace. The Poker/ Keno/ Simulcast Club was designed with every amenity for the serious Poker player.
Restaurants and lounges include the Beachfront Buffet, Seaside Cafe and Tiffany Lounge featuring live entertainment. The elegant Shark Club, a private premium player lounge, features a private elevator to the Baccarat Room. The Tropicana has eight restaurants.
A floor of six breathtaking penthouse suites occupies the fiftieth floor of the West Tower. The themed super suites including Caribbean, French, Italian, Moroccan, New York and South West, range in size from 1,600 to 3,000 sq.- ft. and offer a panoramic view of Atlantic City.
The Trop Poker Club, which features fifty-eight tables that offer Seven Card Stud, Hold 'Em, Omaha, Five Card Stud and Five Card Draw, are available in 3 separate areas of the room. From the high-limit area to the smoke free area to the common playing area, the Trop Poker Room caters to each players needs. With more than 100-32" television monitors throughout the room, the Trop Poker Club offers players the convenience of tableside food service as well as scalp and shoulder massages.
The Turf Club features live simulcasting from racetracks nationwide including Belmont, Churchill Downs, Hollywood Park, Meadowlands and Philadelphia Park to name a few. The Turf Club offers both smoking and smoke free areas. The Keno Club features comfortably plush seating and offers players the opportunity to play a multi-race or single ticket.
The Tropicana Showroom has 1,700 seats with an unobstructed view of the stage. Over 45,000-sq.-ft. of meeting and convention space is available for conventions, luncheons, meetings or private parties. Recreation includes a rooftop swimming pool, beach area (May through September), health club and spa, tennis courts, workout room, steam rooms, saunas, Jacuzzis and massages.
The Gifts 'n' Things shop sells items from souvenir collectibles to sundries to newspapers. Abel's Jewelry, Ireland Coffee, James Salt Water Taffy, Sensations (ladies apparel) and the Tobacco Shop are located throughout the property. Shops in the Seventh Street area include the Tropicana Collection logo shop, Corner Newsstand and the Dynasty Salon featuring therapeutic back and scalp massages.
