The Carson Nugget is located in the heart of historic Carson City, 30 minutes south of the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The Carson Nugget has 8,600 square feet of convention and banquet space, available free of charge to groups of 30 to 500 when the group uses the Nugget's banquet catering service. The Nugget is within easy walking distance of the Nevada State Museum , Nevada's Capitol Legislative complex. Golf and skiing are close by.
The casino has 700 slot and video poker and multi-game machines, $50,000 keno, thirteen gaming tables with Blackjack, Let it Ride, Royal Match and Roulette. They have one craps table, bingo and a sportsbook.
Restaurant's include the Garden Room Coffee Shop with 24 hour dining, Steak House, Oyster Bar with a seafood menu and atmosphere, daily buffets and a snack bar.
The Carson is an attractive, clean complex with a children's lounge, ample parking and an RV park.
On display is one of the rarest and finest specimens of gold in its original form from around the word valued at over $1 million. The gold collection includes samples of leaf gold, ribbon gold, wire gold, thread gold and crystalized gold which took nearly 70 years to accumulate.

The special rate during our visit was $46.00 per couple, second night $35.00, plus room taxes. The package included a coupon book with two seven dollar restaurant coupons, four $1.50 keno credits, four cocktails, four Lucky Bucks, four $1 gaming tokens, one night accommodations valued at $46.33, total package value of $82.33 for only $46.00 plus taxes.
