The Hotel San Remo is located behind the Tropicana, across the side street of the MGM Grand. The hotel casino has 711 rooms including one- and two bedroom suites -- some with Jacuzzi hot tubs, and executive suites. San Remo has five restaurants and a lounge with nightly entertainment. Some of their rooms are located near the pool in a separate building.
The recently remodeled pool and surrounding area of it won a "1998 Design Award" from the Nevada Chapter of the National Spa & Pool Institute. The new landscaping also won the first Place "Diamond Award" for Semi-Public/ Public Pool Restoration. Open year-round, the heated pool was transformed into a charming desert oasis with palm trees, flowers, lounges, sun-umbrellas and beach music.
San Remo's 23,000 square-foot casino has over 600 slot and video poker machines, 16 gaming tables, two craps tables, keno and a sportsbook. They're "slot club was voted number one" by the Review-Journal and Las Vegas Advisor's Guide.
Restaurants Luigi's Delicatessen sells sandwiches made to order, pastries and an exotic selection of coffees. Paparazzi Grille sells steaks, Main lobsters and seafood. Open 5 to 11 pm with entrees starting at $11.95. Pasta Remo, traditional Italian specialties and pastas starting at $7.95 with an extensive wine list, bottomless salad bowl and freshly baked bread with roasted garlic. Open from 5 pm to midnight. Ristorante Dei Fiori features Champagne Brunch Buffets on Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Open 24-hours a day in a garden type setting. The coffee shop offers an array of cuisines from around the world. On April 2, 1999, the San Remo converted the renowned Sushi Bar San Remo to the Saizen at San Remo, a Japanese and Sushi Bar. Selections include Tempura, Tonkatsu, Teriyaki and Bento Boxes, just to name a few. Open every evening from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.
Amenities include a gift shop, video arcade, Parisian Cabaret Lounge with 18 video poker machines build into the bar, and a banquet room for meetings and weddings.
