Stardust Resort & Casino

The Stardust Resort & Casino, a legend since 1958, recently invested over $300 million to expand and renovate the property. The Stardust sign has been updated, but remains a Las Vegas landmark rising 188 feet into the desert sky. It is complemented by a picturesque exterior and plaza area, high-lighted by a state-of-the-art fountain and water displays.

The resort has 85,000-square-feet of casino space, six restaurants, a Race & Sports Book, two landscaped oasis-like swimming pools and a shopping mall on its 62-acre property.

The casino provides guests with all of the popular games of chance and includes a comfortably arranged Poker Room, Keno Parlor and Baccarat Lounge. More than 1,950 slot machines offer a huge variety of games including video poker, keno and blackjack.

With the opening of the 1,500 room tower, the Stardust has 2,400 guest rooms and suites, plus a 25,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art meeting and conference center.

At the north end of the casino is the Race & Sports Book, with complete betting action and one of the most sophisticated satellite systems available, bringing sports fans the complete gamut of important televised events.

The six restaurants make the dining choices at the Stardust more varied than ever before.

William B's offers fine dining with steak and seafood entries. Tony Roma's serves some of the best ribs money can buy. Toucan Harry's a 24-hour coffee shop with everything from snacks to full-course meals. Coco Palms an all-you-can-eat buffet with a little bit of everything. Tres Lobos with authentic south-of-the-border Mexican specialties. The Short Stop Snack Bar and the Coffee Cart open 5 am to 3:30 pm.

Entertainment: Long time running "Enter the Night," has been replaced by Wayne Newton. Show times Monday through Friday at 9 pm, Saturday's 8 pm and 11 pm Tickets $49.95, includes one beverage. Contemporary live music by top night club artists is offered 7-nights a week in the Starlight Lounge where there is never a cover charge, or drink minimum. The Stardust has eight bars and cocktail lounges including the Terrace Bar overlooking the tower pool.

The resort and casino measures one-quarter-of-a-mile along the famous Las Vegas Strip. The hotel is part of the Boyd Gaming Corp., one of the largest privately owned gaming and resort companies in the world. The Boyd Gaming Corp. also owns the California Hotel and Casino, Sam Boyd's Fremont Hotel and Casino, both located in Downtown Las Vegas, and Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall located on Boulder Highway.

Gaming: 24-hour gaming action includes 6 craps tables, 44 Blackjack ($5 to $3,000 limit), 5 roulette wheels, Big Wheel, 10 table poker room, 3 Caribbean Stud Poker, Multiple Action Blackjack, Let It Ride, 4 Progressive Pai Gow, Baccarat ($10,000 limit), computerized keno lounge with runners and 30 boards throughout all public areas. A popular new game featured at the Stardust is "Speed Ball Keno," which offers 50 games in seven minutes, 1,950 slot and video poker machines from 5-cents to $100 per play. The slot club is operated on a "coin-in" system which means players receive points for coins played on all 5-cent, 25-cent, 50-cent, $1, $5 and $25 machines, and a Race and Sports Book with over 250 seats and boards easily read up to 120 feet away.

Passes available at the Hotel Registration Desk. Three championship golf courses are located within a five minute drive. Contact the Bell Captain. The Stardust has two swimming pools.

Services: Safety boxes are available for hotel guests without charge at the Casino Cashier. Room service is available 24-hours a day. Free parking, 24-hour valet parking service, car rentals. Valet/laundry services are available through the bell desk. Sightseeing tours available through the Bell Desk.

Conference Center: 25,000 square-foot state-of-the-art meeting and conference area to accommodate meetings and banquets for groups of 25 to 2,000.
