Terrible's is located on the former site of the Continental which was sold in in a bankruptcy sale. The new owners spend millions of dollars giving both the interior, exterior a new look. Terrible's Hotel Casino opened during December of 2000 with a remarkable new look. Guest rooms are very spacious. At the far end of the room is a wall with an open view not to give you that cooped in feeling, a vanity outside the bathroom with a coffee pot and a hair dryer to save you the trouble of lugging them. The shower head gives you a relaxing spray and the overall decor of the room and amenities are quite eye appealing.
Not shown in the photograph is a round table with two comfortable chairs by the wall to wall wide window, a floor lamp. The large dresser has ample room to hold all of your belongings as well as a TV. Adjacent to the door is an open closet, a desk and chair. After seeing the room I canceled my reservations elsewhere and extended my stay at terrible's.
Terrible's, an oil company, owns and operates two additional casinos in the Las Vegas area as well as one in Pahrump. Room rates so have been very reasonable to make up for the small inconvenience of being two blocks from the Strip. Directly across the street is a small plaza and an upscale restaurant for a change of pace if desired. Terrible's has two restaurants of its own on the second level. One a buffet with breakfast, lunch and dinner, the other with various menu selections.
The gaming area has a nice variety of slot machines with additional video machines and a bingo room near the restaurants. If your in a hurry for a quick bite there's a Burger King as well as a gift shop with snacks and other necessities. Terrible's slot club is the most liberal you'll find in just about any gaming area. They award points for charging meals to your room, shopping in the gift shop purchasing gas and other services.
Needless to say, the place was jam packed at all times while I was there on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Currently Terrible's has a casino funbook with a 2 for 1 buffet, up to $12 off entries, 99 cent coffee & donut, 20% off logo wear and much more with a coupon from one of the Las Vegas entertainment magazines.
